EKPLA

On September 7 to 11, 2011, after their trips to Ekpui in the Vo, Agové in Afagna, Tsévié in the Zio, the evangelism and relief association called Army of Christ in Mission (ACM) had held their fourth evangelism campaign in Ekpla a village situated some kilometers from the Kati village in the Prefecture of Agou. Departing from the city of Lomé on Wednesday September 7, 2011 around 5 PM with praises to God,  the team arrived in the village of Ekpla with the rental bus at 8.30 PM.

The team this time  was composed of 40 evangelists from various Christian denominations in Lomé, eight others Christians came from Kpalimé and one other evangelist came from Agou-Klonou.  On Thursday morning, all started with the evangelism from house to house in groups of evangelists. We shared the Gospel of Christ to the populations and make them confess Christ as Lord and Savior.   The Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings have been marked by big crusades on the public place. During these different crusades, movies titled: 21 DAYS WITH THE LORD, THE RETURN OF THE STONE and JESUS OF NAZARETH have been projected to show to the populations the consequences of the idols worshiping on the one hand and on the other hand, the authority and the power that Christ has given to Christians on the powers of the devil.

The Lord has done many miracles through our prayers. For the example:
- A woman called Adjowa, after hearing the Gospel, had cut off from her own neck and feet, the talismans and satanic rings which the witch doctor had bounded her.  She said that after hearing the true gospel she was healed from all her problems and that now she understood and believe that Jesus is the only big and of the true protection for men.

- A great fetish priest called AXOLOU had decided to follow the Lord Jesus Christ with all his family. He had also personally destroyed all his fetishes and voodoos.

- A woman very anxious had declared been delivered and set free from the multiple problems that choked her.

- A young lady called Amèvi who is a mother of a 5 month baby became mud because she could not pay a vow she made to a voodoo called TOULATA and was cursed by the fetish priest. But the power of the Gospel and prayer in Jesus’ name had set her free.

- A little girl of 10 years old called  Misseyi Mawussi after been delivered from evil spirit said this: “A lady who turns into a cat comes every night to take me to some places to eat or to do evil to people” for in view of the diabolic operations ". She also said that the lady is standing by refusing her to confess Jesus Christ.

- Another girl was casting out demons together with us whereas herself was possessed.  By the discernment of the Spirit of God, we discovered her and delivered through instance prayer.

- During the Friday crusades another little girl declared to have seen a woman who came to deposit a pot on the tree under which we were holding the crusade. And when the girl fixed the eyes on the pot, the woman turned into a cat and disappeared.

On Thursday September 8th, the ACM’s medical team consulted, treated patients and gave them medicines free of charge.  The people are suffering mostly from the illnesses as the malaria, headaches, stomach, hips and joint pains. The clinic took place in the Ekpla primary school building. All the children present have been given the products against stomach worms.

On Sunday morning, the first church service was held under palm branches’ shelter that we built during the week. 55 adults and 80 children all new converts attended the church service. The preacher of the day was Pastor Petro Aziato, the President of ACM. Based on Paul's first book to the Thessalonians chapter 1:1-4 and Daniel 3:16-18 he encouraged the new converts to be firm in the faith, to resist before the persecutions, to fight with the prayer and the word of God; and especially to love one another fervently and fraternally like sons and daughters of the same father and the same mother. He also exhorted them to help each other in their farm works as well as in prayer and encouragement.  Petro also pray for all the people who gave to make this trip possible and for all the good wills that will continue supporting the mission work of the ACM association. He also invited all Christian that know the importance of the evangelism, to join the Army of Christ in Mission ACM so that in unity they can save the maximum of the sinners before Christ's return. He also told to the people that his phone numbers +228 90 32 04 90 / 99 46 08 21/90 96 41 20 are called love lines; so in case of crises they can call 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. After the church, some school supplies have been distributed to the children and used dresses to the orphans, widows and all the needy. The church service ended around 12 PM with the return of the Team back to Lomé and the other places that the members come from.

AGOVE

From April 27 to May 1st, 2011, an ACM team visited the villages of Agove , including Tossa-Kopé, Agové-Center and Kokokou-Kopé, in response to  the report of established idolatry in these villages,  in order to convert the souls to Christ and to enable the love of God in the heart of the believing population to do away with wickedness, sorcery, vengeance and division among themselves.

Members of the ACM team formed two groups under the leadership of their president, Pastor Petro Elikplim Aziato and evangelist Kakanous Komla. They shared the Gospel from door to door, in public spaces, and on the farms. They  prayed for healings, peace, prosperity and love between neighbors.

There were many signs and miracles, but two major ones:  A fetish priest called Dangboessi who was sick several years and could not walk, raised up on his own and walked after some women prayed with him during the door to door sharing. The second great miracle was the answer to our prayer for rain to fall for these villages.  The people said that they were expecting rain in order to plant their crops but the rain is not coming. So they will believe our preaching only if we can make rain to fall for them. We told them that we are not God to make rain fall, but will pray to our Lord and Savior Jesus and He will make it. So we prayed on Thursday morning and in the evening, there was a heavy rainfall in so much that we couldn’t do the crusade that evening. The following day, more than 200 people confessed Christ at it of the two team’s crusade grounds.

The crew also helped the farmers in their works and roasted the gari (cassava floor) for the women of the village while preaching the Christ's good news to them.  Our medical team, the mobile clinic also treated and gave medicines to the patients free of charge.  Clothes were distributed to the poor, and the Jesus film and the confrontation between the evil powers and Christians also was shown to them.

Pastor Petro Elikplim Aziato exhorted the new converts and the rest of the population to live in the faith. He asked them to forgive offenses, to avoid quarrels, to give to those that are in need.  After several testimonies of former Christians on the animist practices, we counseled them on living a positive Christian life and to continue evangelizing their neighbors who didn't yet receive  the light of Christ.

On Sunday, the last day of the campaign, the worship has been celebrated in the three villages to thank God and to plant new churches at Agové-Central village and at Kokokou-Kopé.

We want to thank all those who prayed and gave to make this trip a great success.  God bless you all!

EKPUI    March 2-6

Ekpui is a small village bordering Lake Togo. It is full of old men and women who don’t know the Lord Jesus. Most of the youth have been killed by the wicked voodoo men, and the rest of them have fled to other countries or the capital city. They are dieing in their sin without hearing the Gospel.

The arrival of ACM brought a great revival into the village that enabled many souls to flee from the darkness to the light of the Lord. During door to door outreach a few people did not allow us to enter their homes, and we encountered verbal and physical resistance. But the rest of the villagers welcomed us, receiving the Gospel with joy and confessed the Lord Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We helped them understand that there is no salvation in other names apart from the Christ. We gave them our personal testimonies to demonstrate the reality of what we preached to them. Films titled: 'The Battle'; 'The passion of Jesus' and 'Yatin' were shown at night.

Pastors John Agbolo and Petro Aziato exhorted the population to turn to Jesus and to believe in Him, and 200 adult people and more than 250 children confessed the Lord.

Friday evening was spent in another village called ADIDODEKA where we did a sudden visit to show a film. There also the Lord manifested his power and there were many conversions and healing miracles. On Saturday morning, beside the spiritual activities we did social activities. Used clothing was distributed to the needy, and our mobile clinic doctors freely treated and gave medicines to more than 200 patients who were suffering many years without having the money to go to the hospital in the city. High blood pressure, malaria, headaches, various pains and infections have been treated. At the clinic many aged persons have heard the Gospel and confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior. We also prayed for physical healings and some recovered before going to the doctors.

On Sunday morning, we celebrated the Lord with the new converts and many healing testimonies from the new believers. Rev. Aziato Petro spoke from Daniel 3:16 as he encouraged and strengthened the faith of the Christians.

May God bless you for contributing prayerfully and financially to the success of this trip.
